We do not currently operate Paystack checkout, Paystack payment links, or another online card-payment facility through this website. We do not ask you to submit card numbers, PINs, passwords, one-time authentication codes, or online-banking credentials through website forms, ordinary email, WhatsApp, or invoices.
E. Technical, security, and usage information
When you visit our website, our systems and service providers may collect technical information necessary to operate, secure, and improve the website. This may include:
- IP address.

We do not currently intend to use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, advertising trackers, session-recording tools, Google Maps embeds, or other optional behavioural tracking tools at launch. If we introduce non-essential cookies, analytics, advertising, or similar technology in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any notice or consent mechanism required by applicable law before or when those tools are activated.
F. Information you should not send through public channels
Please do not submit passwords, card PINs, one-time codes, online-banking credentials, government identification numbers, health information, biometric information, or other sensitive personal information through our public website forms, ordinary email, WhatsApp, or invoices unless we specifically request it through an approved secure process.
4. How and why we use information
We use personal information only where we have a lawful reason to do so and only for purposes that are relevant to our relationship with you. Depending on the circumstances, our lawful basis may include your consent, responding to your request before entering a contract, performing a contract, complying with a legal obligation, protecting legitimate interests, or another lawful basis available under applicable law.
We may use information to:
- Respond to enquiries and provide requested information.
- Assess quote requests and prepare proposals.
- Review and arrange consultations.
- Communicate by email, telephone, or WhatsApp where appropriate.
- Issue, administer, verify, reconcile, and support invoices and bank-transfer payments.
- Provide restricted invoice verification and retrieval to authorised customers.
- Manage customer, supplier, prospective-client, and business relationships.
- Protect our website, systems, customers, records, and services from spam, fraud, abuse, unauthorised access, and security incidents.
- Validate form entries, apply rate limits, manage visitor-supplied scheduling timezones, and enforce invoice-security controls.

- Comply with applicable law, regulatory requirements, court orders, or lawful requests.
- Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
We do not use public-form information to make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you. Our automated technical checks are used for form validation, spam prevention, security, rate limiting, and invoice-access protection; they do not determine a person’s eligibility for services, final pricing, employment, credit, or commercial opportunities. Enquiries, quotations, consultations, and commercial decisions remain subject to human review.
5. How we share information
We do not sell personal information.
We may share personal information only as reasonably necessary with:
- Authorised SMARTNETXPERTS personnel who need the information to perform their work.
- Hostinger, which provides our website hosting, infrastructure, storage, security-related services, and business email services.
- WordPress, Jetpack-related form functionality, and other service providers used to operate and secure the website, where applicable.
- Professional advisers, insurers, auditors, banks, payment-related institutions, or service providers where reasonably necessary for legitimate business, legal, financial, security, or compliance purposes.
- Government authorities, regulators, law-enforcement bodies, courts, or other persons where disclosure is required or permitted by applicable law, or necessary to protect legal rights, security, or safety.
- A purchaser, successor, or prospective purchaser of all or part of our business, subject to appropriate confidentiality and legal safeguards.
We require service providers to handle personal information only as necessary to provide services to us, follow our instructions where applicable, protect the information appropriately, and comply with applicable law. Service providers may also have their own legal obligations and privacy terms.
6. Hosting, email, and international processing
We use Hostinger for website hosting, infrastructure, storage, security-related services, and business email. Hostinger may process website content, form submissions, technical information, security logs, email communications, and other information required to provide hosting and email services.
Depending on our service configuration and operational requirements, personal information may be processed or stored in Nigeria, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or other jurisdictions.
Where personal information is processed outside Nigeria, we will take reasonable steps to use appropriate contractual, technical, organisational, or other safeguards required or permitted by applicable data-protection law.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
Our website may use strictly necessary cookies and similar technologies needed to operate the website, maintain security, support administration, prevent abuse, or manage limited session/authorisation functions. These technologies are not intended to track you across unrelated websites for advertising purposes.
We do not currently intend to use optional analytics, advertising, or behavioural-tracking cookies at launch. If this changes, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide a clear cookie notice and any required choice or consent mechanism.
You may be able to control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some necessary cookies may affect parts of the website.
8. Data retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including responding to enquiries, preparing quotations, arranging consultations, providing services, maintaining business records, protecting our systems, preventing fraud, resolving disputes, and meeting legal, tax, accounting, regulatory, contractual, or security obligations.
Our current retention approach is:
- Contact enquiries and consultation requests that are no longer active are normally reviewed after 90 days.
- Completed or inactive records may be moved to a restricted Trash or archive state after review and permanently deleted no later than 30 days afterward.
- Quote records may be retained longer where they relate to active proposals, negotiations, contracts, customer relationships, or legitimate business needs.
- Invoices, accounting records, and necessary invoice-access or transaction evidence may be retained for at least six years, or longer where required by law or reasonably necessary for tax, accounting, audit, fraud-prevention, contractual, dispute-resolution, or legal-rights purposes.
- Records connected with a legal hold, complaint, investigation, security incident, dispute, or claim may be retained until the relevant matter is resolved and for any additional period reasonably required thereafter.
When information is no longer needed, we will take reasonable steps to securely delete, anonymise, or irreversibly dispose of it, subject to lawful backups, retention obligations, and legal holds.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical, organisational, and administrative measures designed to protect personal information from unauthorised access, use, disclosure, alteration, loss, or destruction. These measures may include access restrictions, authentication controls, security monitoring, rate limiting, anti-spam controls, protected invoice-access controls, and appropriate service-provider arrangements.
No website, email service, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. You should use care when transmitting information online and contact us promptly if you believe your interaction with us may no longer be secure.
10. Your rights and choices
Subject to applicable law and appropriate verification, you may have rights to:
- Request information about whether we process personal information about you.
- Request access to personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated information.
- Request deletion or erasure of information where there is no lawful reason for us to retain it.

- Lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission or another competent authority where applicable.
To exercise a right, contact privacy@smartnetxperts.com. We may need to verify your identity and consider legal, security, contractual, technical, or recordkeeping limits before responding. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out before the withdrawal or processing that is otherwise lawful.
11. Children’s privacy
Our website and services are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children through our public forms. If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us without appropriate authorisation, contact privacy@smartnetxperts.com so that we can review the matter.
